So, if you have an image which features a same-sex couple or an image inclusive of all couples, you can now set it as your main profile image for your listing on GayWeddings.com within your account!

Create a Call-To-Action

Give your client a reason to interact with your business with a compelling call-to-action. QR codes give mobile users instant access to your business and client reviews.

Clients and the public can learn more about your business through QR codes. Easily scan QR codes by using a downloaded QR code Reader App for your mobile phone, and taking a screenshot of the QR code image. It will then lead directly to the website or information linked to the QR code.

WeddingWire creates a free, personalized QR code for all vendors, located on the My Dashboard and My Reviews section of your WeddingWire account.  This personalized QR Code lets potential customers instantly learn more about your business and read your reviews by visiting a mobile version of your WeddingWire Storefront using their mobile phone.

Display this QR code on your website or blog so customers can use their phones to quickly access your Storefront and read your reviews!  To access your QR code:

  • Log In to your WeddingWire account
  • Locate your personalized QR code on the My Dashboard or My Reviews section of your WeddingWire account
  • Right click on your personalized bar code and save the image to your computer
  • Place the image in the desired location of your blog or website

Additionally, you can print your personalized QR code poster to display at your business and special events for an easily scan-able display piece!

» Pro Network Basics

We all know the old saying “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know.” At WeddingWire, we are passionate about the value behind networking online and in the wedding community to establish personal contacts with both potential clients and other industry professionals.

Creating contacts is particularly important in the wedding industry, and WeddingWire offers a unique professional networking tool, the Pro Network, to connect your business to other Wedding Pros. Take advantage of this tool and connect with your colleagues, share endorsements and highlight your accomplishments. Pro Network endorsements serve as colleague reviews on the site, and can be effective to grow business and gain potential clients.

To get started, simply click on the Pro Network tab within your WeddingWire account to see the different ways you can connect with other local Wedding Pros and manage your network.

Pro Network Basics:

Pros I Know – Send or accept invitations to connect with other Wedding Pros you know or have previously worked with. You can easily navigate between your connections, those you sent invitations to, and those who you received invitations from. You will be automatically notified via email when you receive a new invitation request so you will know to log into your account to make new connections! Once connected, you can give and receive endorsements of each other’s businesses. Use the search bar on the far right of your screen, and review your personalized suggestions from the Pros You May Know section to send requests to connect with other colleagues.

Preferred Pros – Create your list of trusted Wedding Pros from the Pros I Know section. Your Preferred Pros list can be added to your Storefront, shared with clients through email and printing, and displayed on your website or blog using our Preferred Pros Widget.

Endorsements – After a connection has been made, you have both the ability to give and receive endorsements. Think of an endorsement as a review from a Wedding Pro. Endorsements can be displayed on your Storefront for potential clients to see, and you can use the Endorsement Widget to share them on your website or blog.

Associations – Are you a member of any wedding associations?  Share your credentials, and add them to your network. Simply search by the name or location of the association and click to request to join.

 

» Give Your Storefront a Facelift

Update your look on your WeddingWire Storefront with different Themes. It’s easy for you to select a new theme to match your main image and brand. Just log in to your WeddingWire account, click on the Storefront tab, and click “Change Theme.” You’ll see a variety of options and font colors to choose from!

It is important to periodically update your WeddingWire Storefront. An easy way to do so is to rotate your main image and theme with the seasons so potential clients can see you are staying active. It’s an easy process, just follow the steps below! Keep in mind we recommend images that are 600 x 600 pixels and a .jpeg file.

1. Login to your account

2. Click on the My Storefront tab

3. Click “edit” under your current main image

4. Click the “Choose File” button and select your new image

5. Click “Open” and then “Upload Image”

That’s it! Be sure to select a picture that reflects your style and is attractive to brides and grooms. Your main image is a very important part of how you represent your business, and often your first impression! In the vendor search results many visitors will or won’t click on a particular vendor because they like or don’t like that main image. What is your favorite main image of?

» HOW TO: Link Your Storefront to Facebook and Twitter

It is important to link to your Facebook and Twitter accounts from your WeddingWire Storefront so that potential brides who may be considering your business can see more. Linking your account is a simple process, all you have to do is follow the quick steps below:

1.Log in to your account

2. Click on the My Storefront tab

3. Click the “edit” link next to your business name

4. Scroll down to the section for Facebook and Twitter

5. Enter the corresponding URL’s

6. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Save”

**Note – make sure to test out the links after you update your account! It is important that the URL’s are in the following format (including https://)

Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/YOURFACEBOOKPAGE

Twitter: https://twitter.com/#!/YOURTWITTERHANDLE

Take a minute today to link your WeddingWire Storefront with your Blog, Facebook and Twitter. Doing so will allow brides considering your business to connect on a deeper level and learn more about you!

Summer is here, the sun is shining and the birds are chirping (hopefully). It may be time to revisit your Storefront and do a little updating. One of the easiest and biggest changes you can make is your main image. The photo you choose to be your main image is like your first impression and can help you stand apart from your competition. It takes just a second to update and can help you get more clicks to your Storefront (and more business!) from potential clients.

Keep in mind:

  • Pick a vibrant image that will pop on the page
  • For best results use a .jpg or .jpeg file
  • Your image should be 600 x 600 pixels

Just follow these simple steps to update your image:

  1. Log in to your WeddingWire account
  2. Click on the My Storefront tab
  3. Click “Edit” under your current main image
  4. Click the “Browse” button and select your new image from your computer
  5. Click “OK” and then the “Upload Image” button

It’s always a good idea to use the Preview My Storefront feature to see how your business looks to engaged couples, but also remember to take a look at the search results on www.weddingwire.com for your service category and location. It helps to see what you look like stacked up against your competition!

» HOW TO: Make FAQ’s Less Frequently Asked

How many times when speaking to a potential client do you answer the exact same questions over and over again? Take a couple minutes today and fill out the FAQ section on your WeddingWire Storefront so instead, engaged couples can find the information before calling to inquire. You can even direct someone requesting more information to this page as a good starting point to get more information about your products or services.

Simply log in to your account and click on the FAQ tab under My Storefront. You’ll notice information is broken into three main sections:

Business Details – here you can enter general information about your business, such as how long you have been in business, how many employees you have, and what type of payment you accept. This is also where you can link your WeddingWire account to social media pages. Just paste the URL for your YouTube or Flikr account into the corresponding sections and click Save.

Frequently Asked Questions – provide details about your available services. This will also help prospective clients find you based on offerings they are looking for. There are both multiple choice and open-ended questions that vary based on your service categroy so that you can be as specific as you desire!

Other Information – this section allows you to select what other types of events (i.e. anniversaries, corporate events, birthdays) you service as well as any specific cultural events. There is also an open ended HTML capable section for you to add anything else you would like.

» HOW TO: Showcase Your Work with Video

Make it easy for potential clients to see your past work by uploading photos and video into your Portfolio. When a couple is searching for their vendor, they will compare a number of things, including examples of what you have done for others. By showcasing a variety of things you have done before, you will give a bride and/or groom a good idea of your range and style. Just another way to ensure they give you a call to book your for their big day!

Just follow these simple steps to add your own photos and videos:

1. Login to your account Storefront

2. Click on the Portfolio tab

3. Select either Photo Gallery or Video Gallery

4. Click the blue button to upload your media files

5. Remember to Save!
