At WeddingWire, we love sending employees to educational events and conferences to stay on top of the latest technology, trends and education in their area of expertise. Recently, several WeddingWire staffers traveled to San Francisco, CA to attend an exciting week at Dreamforce, the Salesforce.com users conference!
WeddingWire staffers joined over 70,000 other attendees to learn about Salesforce’s product roadmap and discover what’s next in business technology. This is one of the first years that the company has shifted its focus away from core products in sales and service to thinking about how, through software, companies can interact with customers in a more social and holistic way.
Companies such as Virgin America, Burberry, GE and Coca Cola shared what makes their businesses social during the keynote with Salesforce.com CEO, Marc Benioff. General Colin Powell and GE CEO, Jeff Immelt, held a fireside chat to discuss the future of business and leadership in the world today. During breakout sessions, a variety of topics were covered, such as data management, sales best practices, gamification, and using analytics to make better business decisions. We were also happy to see some friends in the wedding industry in attendance including: Carlo’s Bake Shop (of “Cake Boss” fame), Men’s Wearhouse and 1-800 Flowers!
From chasing down Salesforce’s mascot SaaSy for a photo op, to cheering on a win from the Giants, to catching a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert, we were able to sneak in some fun as well. Find some photo highlights, below!
