We are excited to share that your account editing options have been improved to better build out your business’ Storefront. Updates include a streamlined design that gives you the ability to update your listing from all devices – mobile to desktop to tablet!
Plus, thanks to feedback from Pros like you, we have added additional popular social networks you can now add to your Storefront, including Instagram, Vimeo and YouTube. Plus, we updated the About Us formatting so you can more easily customize your profile, and preview your Storefront on WeddingWire, EventWire and GayWeddings.com, based on the site’s you are listed on.

By now, we all know how important a good mobile experience is for your business! Because of that, we’ve updated WeddingWire mobile (also known as m.weddingwire.com) to properly display all Storefront videos across all mobile devices. Video is a great way to engage potential customers and set yourself apart from the competition.

Learning more about couples
As the wedding industry continues to evolve, we’re learning and growing right along with it. To stay ahead of the curve, we launched a new optional Q&A after a user submits a review. Through these questions, we’ll be able to better understand couples’ wedding experience and continue to provide the best service to keep them coming back to your Storefront when they search for their wedding team.
We are continuously working to best serve you, which includes updating existing features, as well. Recently we’ve updated proposals to prevent clients from requesting changes after you’ve converted it a contract, added functionality to allow you to upload a .csv in the Review Collector, and much more! We know you and your clients are busy and sometimes a chance to win makes everything a little more fun. What better way to kick off engagement season coming soon than a new rewards program that encourages couples to take more action to help your business?
We’re launching WeddingWire Rewards, a contest for engaged couples to accumulate entries based on their WeddingWire activity. Each month, we will be giving away $5,000 for one lucky winner who uses WeddingWire to plan their wedding! Users will receive entries for completing actions that benefit your business, including submitting a lead, indicating they have booked your services, or writing a review!

It’s no secret that response time is a huge factor in whether or not a prospective client will book your wedding business. The quicker you respond, the more likely a couple is to perceive the quality of your product or service to be higher.
In fact, our data shows that 70% of engaged couples find vendor responsiveness to be one of the most important characteristics to look for while researching professionals. To help your business respond to your inquiries faster, we developed Quick Leads, the newest feature from WeddingWire!
Available to all premium WeddingWire members, Quick Leads allows you to instantly connect by phone when prospective clients inquire about your services. When a couple leaves a phone number in the contact form on your WeddingWire Storefront, you’ll instantly receive an automated call with an offer to connect you with the couple who inquired. If the couple doesn’t leave a phone number in the contact form, you’ll receive a text message with their information so you can still take action quickly.
As part of Quick Leads, you’ll receive a unique WeddingWire phone number to be displayed on your Storefront which allows you to view and track your phone leads in your account. Your unique WeddingWire phone number will appear on your Storefront in place of your business number. All calls made to this number will be forwarded immediately to your business number!
Because Quick Leads uses Dynamic Number Insertion to change your Business Phone Number to your unique WeddingWire number on your Storefront, Google and other search engines will only see your actual business phone number when they are crawling your Storefront.
The best part about Quick Leads? There will be no outward indication that you have Quick Leads enabled! When a couple submits a lead that includes their phone number, they will not know that WeddingWire has reached out to offer to connect you with them. From the consumer perspective, it will appear that your business is just very good (and fast!) at responding to their request.
Quick Leads is an optional feature that is included for all premium WeddingWire members. Find out more about Quick Leads here. If you do not wish to have Quick Leads and would like to remove your unique WeddingWire phone number, you can do so within the Client Response Settings in your WeddingWire account. Now your clients can review your business directly on WeddingWire easier than ever with new improvements to the client review experience.
Updated features include saving the review while they write it so no info gets lost, the ability for newlyweds to submit a review without a password, and updating the Review Collector tool to default to your custom WeddingWire URL. Request new reviews »

In 2015, we brought WeddingWire World back to DC but extended the event to be two full days of presentations, education, and more.

Introducing lead tracking
Use the new easy-to-read Leads tab in your account Analytics to see the leads you’re generating from WeddingWire. Plus, find out what traffic sources (desktop vs. mobile) perform best for your account. See my leads »
Custom event types
Need to send an invoice or a questionnaire for non-wedding events? Based on your feedback, we’ve added a new open-ended text field into our Client Management system so that you can customize the event type to keep you organized and personalize contracts for all of your clients. Update my events »
New email template features
Update your Client Response Email Template using the new attachment feature to provide your clients with the information they need. Add up to five attachments, such as pricing information, floor plans or brochures, plus, you can also customize your email signature to keep your branding on point. Get started »
New features for couples
We’ve add new features to give couples the best experience finding their perfect vendor team, including an updated FAQ layout to help users quickly digest your business information, a new Recommendation Module after they submit a lead, a ‘Pin It’ button on all Storefront photos, as well as the photo and video count to your respective Storefront tabs.

Each June, the LGBTQ community is celebrated at Pride festivals and parades in communities all over the country (and world!). With so many great things that happened this Pride Month, we wanted to provide a quick recap so none of these awesome events go unnoticed! Check out our highlights below.
Capital Pride Parade
WeddingWire staff, along with LGBTQ-friendly couples and wedding professionals, showed support for same-sex couples and allies throughout the nation by walking in the Capital Pride Parade. Our team was also joined by Kathryn Hamm, Publisher of GayWeddings.com.
2015 marks the third year WeddingWire has been involved in DC’s Pride Month celebrations. Our team was at Capital Pride in both 2012 and 2013 to help festival-goers learn about the Wed We Can campaign, and in 2014 when we joined the parade on its walk through the District.

We’re ecstatic to announce the acquisition of GayWeddings.com, the pioneering wedding planning resource for same-sex couples!
From the day both companies opened our respective doors, WeddingWire and GayWeddings.com have shared a commitment to providing needed resources to all couples. Since January 2011, we’ve partnered with GayWeddings.com to develop a rapidly-expanding online database of over 120,000 wedding professionals who serve same-sex couples. Now, we’re happy to transition from partnership to acquisition to seamlessly extend the mission of both brands.
GayWeddings.com will continue to empower engaged couples and LGBTQ-friendly wedding professionals as part of the growing WeddingWire family of brands in the weddings and events category. Kathryn Hamm, President of GayWeddings.com, will continue on as Publisher to help guide the tools and resources provided for both Pros and engaged couples. And with Pride Month officially underway, there’s no better time to celebrate our union and raise a glass to an LGBTQ-inclusive wedding market!
Wedding and event professionals on WeddingWire can opt into the GayWeddings.com directory to show that they are ready, willing, and able to serve LGBTQ couples. Pros can also get up-to-date information, education, and resources to help them serve same-sex couples and understand the latest updates in marriage equality.
Same-sex weddings have been transforming the way wedding professionals think about their businesses and how engaged couples think about executing their wedding vision. At WeddingWire, we are constantly making improvements to further your online reach and drive high quality traffic to your business. We regularly evaluate our Network partner performance from this perspective, and occasionally reallocate our investment. On Monday, June 22, 2015, wedding and event professionals in the WeddingWire.com directory will no longer be listed on MarthaStewartWeddings.com.
Over the last year, the Martha Stewart Weddings partnership has contributed less than 1% of WeddingWire’s directory traffic.
