Try out one of the video slideshows below to wow your clients!

Engagement video

An engagement video can impress clients during a sales session and also create anticipation for the wedding itself. Focusing on a couple’s personalities when building engagement videos creates a connection with clients and makes for some amazingly shareable content.

Save-the-date video

A save-the-date video is often a little shorter than an engagement sales video, and therefore more shareable on social media. However, if you have a shorter engagement video, it can easily sub in for a save-the-date.

Same-Day video

While a same-day video is a lot of work on a short timeline, it’s a great way to showcase your work during the wedding reception! All of the couples’ family and friends will be in attendance to see your work, and they’re more likely to pay attention there than they are to see it later.

Video Marketing WebinarWebinar recap!

Making professional videos for your business doesn’t have to be difficult or daunting. In this month’s one hour webinar for premium members, WeddingWire CMO Sonny Ganguly joined Animoto’s Partner Management Director, Jeff Kahsen, to share the importance of video marketing.

Jeff and Sonny shared why video marketing matters for your business, how to create a successful video, and the six keys to video marketing success.

Learn more about these six keys below, and watch the full webinar to get all the great video tips!

  1. Make it personal: Use video as a way for the audience to get to know your brand a bit. Don’t be afraid to show your personality! This will make the video more interesting and engaging, and create a positive brand impression for potential clients.
  2. Show, don’t tell: Don’t just tell them about your work, show them through great images! Shoot live video, add your favorite photos of your work and maybe include a testimonial to showcase your work visually.
  3. Less is more: The sweet spot for a video’s length is between 45 and 60 seconds. Interest for videos can drop off quickly, so anything beyond a minute may not be viewed in its entirety. Also aim to create an engaging first 10 seconds and work to keep the full video brief to get a lot of views.
  4. Add your logo: Make sure you brand your video by adding your business logo! A great place to do this is at the start and end of the video to make a lasting brand impression.
  5. Include music: Music is a great addition to your video. Whether it is soft background music or the focus of the audio, it helps to make the viewing experience pleasant and your video seem professional.
  6. Call to action: Don’t forget a call to action! Tell your viewers to take a step once the video ends. Whether that is to contact you, view your website or Storefront ,or even share something on social media, make sure you end with action!

» 3 Reasons Your Wedding Business Needs Video

3 Reasons Your Wedding Business Needs VideoWhen we talk about the popularity of visual content, we’re often referring to images, graphics and infographics – but why not video?

A survey by our partner Animoto reveals that 73% of U.S. adults are more likely to make a purchase after watching an online video explaining a product or service. If you haven’t yet experienced the power of video marketing, now is the time to start!

Show off your personality

Video is so popular today because technology has made it so much easier (and cheaper!) to create a quick video clip. Social networks like Vine and Instagram make recording and uploading a video simple, and there are even some limited editing options. The success of these short videos has been largely seen by individuals with big personalities and stories to tell. Many brands are starting to pick up on this trend, though, and incorporating more personality into their video marketing strategy.

Whether you have the budget for a professional video or not, your brand can show off your personality through video. Make a personal connection with potential clients right away by combining the text you would use to describe your business with visual content and music. You can be in the video yourself, or you can let the footage do the talking for you. Here are some great brand personality video examples from Brad Jefferson, CEO of Animoto.

The holidays are an ideal time for businesses to express genuine appreciation and connect with customers in a more personal way. And what better way to do that than with a year-end video?

Videos are more personal and generally less expensive to produce than traditional paper cards. And, if done right, they can have a positive impact and go a long way towards building good will for your brand. Just keep in mind that you’re not trying to sell anything with your holiday video; it should express sincere gratitude and holiday sentiments, while showcasing your company’s personality.

Did you know premium Pros have access to the Video Builder tool within your WeddingWire account, which means users can create unlimited, professional videos in minutes? Decide the focus of your video (or videos!) this holiday season, and get started today!

1) Happy Holidays Greeting

» Four Ways Video Can Help Your Wedding Business

Four Ways Video Can Help Your Wedding BusinessUnless you’re a videographer, you may not think of video as a tool for growing your business online, but it’s a tactic you should try! Video packages your message in an entertaining format that helps your business stand out, making it more likely that a couple searching will select your business.

Our Video Builder tool allows you to create unlimited videos to showcase your business. You can customize by choosing 10-25 images from any of your photo albums and selecting a song from our library to set the mood. Your video will be customized to display your business name and any other pieces of information you would like to include, making it easy to share on social media and more!

If you still haven’t bought into video marketing, read below for four ways video can help your business:

Engage with clients

Video is often more powerful than photos or text when it comes to engagement. A potential client can casually look through your Storefront photos while they’re otherwise preoccupied; a video requires both visual and audio engagement.  Take advantage of this type of content by explaining more about your business and your products or services in a way that will make them sit up and take notice!

Drive conversions

Think about your business’ video as a sale – explain why your business is better than the competition, and what makes you the best choice for potential clients. While your video probably won’t actually make sales for you (you’ll still need to conduct an appointment), it can drive inquiry conversions! Turn anonymous visitors into potential clients by providing them with content that answers most of their questions and compels them to contact you right away.

» Is Video Content Important?

Is Video Content Important? As a member of the WeddingWire Customer Success team, I’m frequently asked whether or not video content is important. Do you really need photos and videos on your Storefront? Does anyone actually watch videos?

The short answer – Yes! In fact, the second largest search engine behind Google is YouTube. Video content is not only an important aspect of your online marketing, but it also plays an important role in search engine optimization (SEO) and can impact your search rankings.

Below are a few ways to integrate videos into your WeddingWire Storefront and other online marketing platforms:

1. Build a commercial with the Video Builder

Did you know that you have access to a tool that creates professional videos in your premium WeddingWire account? The Video Builder allows premium Pros to build video slideshows out of photos uploaded to your Storefront.

Pro Tip: Use the Video Builder tool to create a teaser video for your clients. Because you own the rights to any videos you make with this tool, you can email your videos to your clients or share on social media!

2. Embed professional videos from YouTube or Vimeo

If you already have videos on YouTube or Vimeo, consider embedding them on your WeddingWire Storefront. Potential clients will be able to view your videos right from your Storefront, and learn more about your business and the services you provide.

Pro Tip: You don’t need to embed all of your videos from your YouTube or Vimeo account. Instead, select one to three videos that best show off your business’ products or services to feature on your Storefront. Keep in mind you can swap these out for newer videos at any time!

» Why Your Small Business Needs Video

We’ve talked about the importance of your online presence in the past, as it’s a powerful way to promote your brand. Even before you meet a potential client face to face, your website or Storefront is representing your brand. Particularly for small businesses, the type of online content you choose has a big impact on the public’s perception of your business. You probably have plenty of content about your business and photos of your work, but have you considered the power of video marketing?

In the past, video marketing has been avoided because producing high-quality videos can be expensive. Small business owners rarely had the time or money to spend on video marketing – until recently. Premium WeddingWire Pros have access to high-quality video with our Video Builder!

Why Your Small Business Needs Video

Our Video Builder tools allows you to create unlimited, high-quality videos using your event photos and customize your video with descriptions and branding. All you need to do is select a theme, add photos, add a soundtrack from our library, and you have a video to share!

Have you used our Video Builder yet? If you’re not sure whether or not video is the right move for your company, our friends at Animoto have a great presentation on the importance of video marketing.

Here are some of the most important reasons why video should be an indispensable part of every small business owner’s toolkit!

1. Video sticks with both audio and visual learners. Think back to school: some people learn better from seeing, while others learn better from hearing. In fact, 65% of people identify themselves as visual learners and 30% identify themselves as auditory learners, while 5% identify themselves as kinesthetic learners. By those statistics, video reaches 95% of people in their preferred learning style!

2. It’s the next big thing. Of the $40 billion spent on online ads in 2012, video ads were the vast majority. Even the big social networks have caught on to the power of video content – Facebook, Instagram and Vine have all capitalized on the shareable nature of video. What are you waiting for?

3. Video packages your message in an entertaining format. Video combines the text you would use to describe your business or tell your story, visual content about your business and music. You’ll stand out from other small businesses with professional-quality, engaging videos.

4. Video is having a larger and larger impact on search engine optimization. A link in a lower position with video will get more clicks than a link in a higher position without video – meaning that if you’re a small business struggling to increase your search rankings, video might provide a good boost.

With easy-to-use tools like the Video Builder, there’s just no excuse to hold off on video anymore!

» Video Marketing Tips: Showcase Your Business!

According to Cisco Systems, the number of online video consumers will double to 1.5 billion by 2015, with total online video consumption predicted to quadruple. Now is the time to establish a strong video presence for your business!

Making a professional video in minutes is easy with the Video Builder, available in your account for all premium WeddingWire members (for free!). Create unlimited, high-quality videos using your event photos and customize your video with descriptions and branding. Simply select a theme, add photos, add a soundtrack from our library, and you have a video to share!

What types of videos can you create? You can easily create videos to showcase your business and breadth of work, from commercials, to events and weddings, holidays, and seasons.

How to do you make your videos impactful for your business? Our friends at Animoto have great video marketing tips for maximizing your video’s marketing impact through effective captions. Photos are a wonderful way to show your talent, but captions pull your brand messaging together and provide context to your potential clients and other viewers.

Some key take aways when creating your video captions:

  • Make your slogan stick: Be sure to include your business’ logo and any tagline at the start or finish of your video for branding impact.
  • Consider value: Add a quick caption about what makes your business unique, a top award you have received (such as being awarded the Bride’s Choice Award 2013) or a discounted or complimentary service you are willing to provide those who find you on WeddingWire, or through the video (such as a free consultation).
  • Provide a quick review: Consider adding in a simple line about your service from a past client so they can do the marketing for you. Something short and sweet from a happy past client will resonate, just be sure to ask their permission!
  • Share your business’ history: Let your viewers know a bit more about your business. Including a line about your experience when relevant can be impressive. Such as, “married for 20 years, in business together for 15!” or “with over 30 years combined event experience in the LA area!
  • Be genuine: Show some personality while remaining professional. Don’t be afraid to have fun with the images and comments. For example, share what you loved about the particular event, explain why Valentine’s day is your favorite holiday, or Summer your favorite season with photos and captions. Finally, consider ending the video with a thank you message for those who took  the time to watch – and encouraging them to be in touch with a phone number or email address.

Video’s consumer impact is growing rapidly, so don’t let your business fall behind!
