Having the opportunity to work with such an amazing, smart, and hard-working team of Customer Success representatives who are dedicated to providing our community of wedding professionals with the best experience with WeddingWire possible!

What’s your favorite tip to help Pros?

Be open and willing to change. Whether it’s changing technology, the latest generation of customers you’re targeting, your website, your client management tools… always be open to change. Be willing to adapt and evolve yourself, your business, and your practices so that you can position yourself for success. As our CMO, Sonny Ganguly, has said repeatedly: Change is the only constant!

How do you keep up with technology trends?

I keep up with the latest trends by reading different blogs and websites that are tech related. My favorites are Mashable, Wired, Inc., HubSpot, and CrunchBase.

How do you keep up with trends in the wedding industry?

I have the unique opportunity to travel across the country and actually speak with our vendor community at WeddingWire events like our Networking Nights, Mix and Mingles, Workshops, and other types of speaking engagements. I always try to keep my finger on the pulse for the community that I’m visiting by finding out directly from the local professionals what is going on in their region of the country.

What’s your favorite part of your job? 

My favorite part of my job is getting the opportunity to talk to so many different Pros each day. I really feel like I am helping them grow their businesses and I love when I hear about their success with WeddingWire. I recently moved into my market and I really enjoy being able to make a stronger connection with my local Pros, but I’m also excited to see how I can become more of a face in the local wedding community!

What’s your favorite tip to help Pros?

I always share with my vendors how important reviews are. People today use reviews to evaluate everything, from a restaurant to a dentist to a plumber. Weddings are the biggest day in a couple’s life, so they are going to want to read reviews to find out what to expect. Even if your business gets a lot of bookings through word of mouth, couples are still going to go to search your business name and expect to find reviews.

How do you keep up with technology trends?

I read blogs all the time. I am big on business and tech blogs such as TechCrunch and Mashable. I think we live in a tech-focused world and it’s great to see what is new.

How do you keep up with trends in the wedding industry?

I love Pinterest and Instagram. I think both platforms are great for inspiration but also to see what’s trending!

What’s your favorite part of your job? 

The many opportunities our team has to meet our vendors face to face (through Networking Nights, Mix & Mingles, Workshops and WeddingWire World events). It is incredibly rewarding to meet our advertisers and hear about how WeddingWire has brought them success.

What’s your favorite tip to help Pros?

Utilize your network. A vendor can build a strong reputation by getting their friends, family, clients, and colleagues involved in spreading the word. This can be done via word of mouth, social media, events, email, and the collection of reviews.

How do you keep up with technology trends?

I’m a big fan of following tech blogs. My two favorites are Mashable and TechCrunch. I also follow them on Facebook and learn a lot directly from their posts.

How do you keep up with trends in the wedding industry?

Hi, my name is Katey and I’m addicted to Pinterest. Pinterest is a fantastic way to keep up with the ever evolving trends in the wedding industry. I follow all of the top wedding blogs and sites on Pinterest to keep myself informed. I always suggest this to my advertisers – it’s important to know what is trending so that you are well informed when working with today’s couples.

A little over 2 years. Time flies!

What’s your favorite part of your job?

I love that every day I get to speak with new Pros and hear about their businesses and offer advice on the best way to maximize their online marketing. I am lucky to learn something new every day – from the Pros I speak with or from my coworkers. I’m also lucky to build strong relationships with our advertisers and love the feeling of getting to help someone grow their business! I absolutely love hearing from my advertisers that their investment in WeddingWire has paid off.

What’s your favorite tip to help Pros?

I always encourage advertisers to visit the catalog from a couples’ perspective. Not only is it a good idea to see how your listing looks from a user’s perspective, but it’s important to be knowledgeable about the other advertisers as well. This is a great way to remain competitive!  Check out your main image, is it something that jumps out at you? Is it something you would click on? These are great questions to ask yourself. Also, take a look at the average amount of reviews in the catalog. Always strive to be above the average to make sure your listing is as competitive as possible!

How do you keep up with technology trends?

I love to read Mashable on a weekly basis. They have so many great articles that pertain to my job and keep me on top of everything new in the tech world!
