» HOW TO: Get Reviews and Show Them Off

How do you pick where you are going to go dinner tonight? Choose a new mechanic? Find a new babysitter? Likely, even if a friend gave you a recommendation, you will check out their online ratings to see what others thought before deciding where to go or who to hire.

Reviews are becoming increasingly prevalent in our day to day lives, so when someone is planning their “big day” does it come to any surprise that they will likely consult these reviews to decide where to have their wedding or who will officiate? From photographers and florists to DJ’s and caterers, it is important you get your past clients to vouch for your services.

Ratings and reviews help give your business more credibility and give a sense of security to potential clients. WeddingWire helps make it a simple process from start to finish. Just follow the simple steps below to collect reviews from your past clients and then showcase their praise on your Storefront, website, and blog.

My Reviews

After logging in to your WeddingWire account, visit the My Reviews tab and enter the email addresses and names of your past clients. We’ve created a preformatted email for you but feel free to customize it further! If you prefer, you’ll notice there is also a unique link you can copy and paste directly into an email of your own.

As couples search for venues in their location, your star rating and number of reviews will display prominently in the search results. This is a great way to differentiate your business from others in the same area.

The My Review Widget allows you to further showcase your top reviews on your website or blog. Simply copy and paste the custom HTML code from the My Reviews tab onto your website to share reviews with potential new clients!

Beyond the benefit of bringing in more business, reviews also qualify your company to receive awards like WeddingWire Rated. Eligibility to be WeddingWire Rated is based on receiving a number of recent reviews and is displayed under the Reviews tab of your Storefront.
